Also known as mineral pitch or wax,, mumiyo, and various other names around the world, Shilajit is derived from the Sanskrit compound word shilajatu, meaning “rock-tar”. It is a blackish brown exudate from high mountain rocks formed by the slow decomposition of plants by the action of microorganisms.
Traditionally used for its adaptogenic and anti-inflammatory actions, shilajit aids body resistance to stressors’ and reduces inflammation or swelling in the body, possibly decreasing pain, and increasing in strength and endurance
Shilajit is 50% fulvic acid and contains more than 85 different vitamins and minerals including folic acid, iron, zinc, magnesium, potassium, carotenoids, retinol, B, C, and E vitamins.
